I Think Jesus Possessed Pat Robertson And Made Him Tell The Truth About Single Payer Health Care
The myths that are constantly pinned to nationalized health care have been thoroughly debunked.
Since there is no need to debate the issue of nationalized health care, I think it is time we start calling out some of the naysayers. We can start with Pat Robertson.
I’m sure with all of the money Pat Robertson rips off from his followers that watch his show every week, he does not need to worry about having adequate health care. Christ, he could buy the hospital (no pun intended on that Christ thing).
But in a moment of candor, Robertson said that he does not believe private insurance companies could compete with a government run health care system. Whoops. Did Pat just slip?
Why would a private health care system not be able to compete with a publicly run system, unless it was inferior?
Robertson said that a government run health care system would crowd out all of the private options. But If privately run health care systems can do it better, of course they would be able to compete with a government run system, and therefore not be crowded out. In fact, they would essentially make the government’s system obsolete, because Americans are not going to settle for substandard health care, which is why so many Americans are clamoring for reform in the first place. Simply stated, they are sick of substandard health care.
But once again, as Robertson so candidly put it, private systems will not be able to compete. That, of course, is code for a government run system will essentially kill the current “for profit” system because the government can do it better and at a significantly lower cost to the consumer.
Do you think Jesus possessed Pat Robertson and made him tell the truth for once?

Pat Robertson doesn’t need health insurance. He drinks his own health shakes.
He can leg press 2,000 pounds because of these shakes.
