Someone Needs To Explain To Newt The Definition Of Figurative Language
It is laughable to think that such a narrow-minded, xenophobe like Gingrich can make a statement claiming that believing you are a citizen of the world is “intellectual nonsense,” and then consider himself an intellectual.
Gingrich made it clear that he does not want to be a citizen North Korea, Zimbabwe, Venezuela, Cuba, or Russia. That works out well, because I don’t think they want him as a citizen, but I digress.
Does Gingrich not know the definition of a metaphor? Does he not understand that when one is considered a citizen of the world, that they don’t actually become a citizen of these countries?
The scary part of this whole thing, is that this man is considered the GOP’s intellectual guru. Yikes.
