New Ad Criticizing Congress For Raising Taxes On Soft Drinks To Provide Health Care For Americans

I don’t know about all of you, but I don’t know what I would do without the simple pleasure of poisoning my body with high fructose corn syrup, and obscene amounts of caffeine.

This ad wants Americans to focus on the possible $0.17 increase on a two liter of soda, and forget about things like:

  • Childhood obesity.
  • Obesity at every age for that matter.
  • Type 2 diabetes.

But the reason why I had to post this ad was because of one line. The ad says:

We all want to improve health care, but taxes never made anyone healthy. Education, exercise, and balanced diets do that.

Actually, taxes that will help pay for the health coverage of Americans, is a tax that will help keep Americans healthy.

Furthermore, they actually used the words “exercise” and “balanced diets” in a commerical that is advocating the consumption of soft drinks. Hilarious!!!
