Ron Christie Is More Concerned With The Cost Of Health Care Reform, And Less Concerned About People Dying

By Che

At least Ron Christie is being honest. Keep in mind, Ron Christie referred to himself as a health care expert (way to pat yourself on the back there). But it doesn’t take a health care expert to realize that patients cost less when their dead.

Republican Ron talks about nothing being done about prevention, but all Republicans do is complain when preventative measures, like taxing cigarettes and soft drinks, are proposed.

Lastly, on behalf of all Republicans, I would just like to say:

To those out there who are currently chronically ill, but cannot get health coverage, please hurry up and die. You are politically devastating Republicans.

I particularly hate that he cites huge chronic disease rates, and then goes straight to obesity. Does it not occur to him that people with chronic diseases might be less likely to get out and exercise BECAUSE they are sick? Is he unaware that common chronic diseases, like depression, have weight gain as a side effect? More to the point, can he even name a chronic disease that isn’t diabetes?

I highly doubt that he could name another chronic disease.

You make very good points Lila.
