Is Glenn Beck For Government Getting Involved In Health Care Or Not?

By Che

Well after watching this clip, you probably no closer to knowing the answer.

Beck said:

Give them [rich people] tax breaks if they will go work in a clinic. If they will see poor people, let them write all of that off.

Beck’s next sentence was:

Let the system fix itself, but the government won’t get out of the way.

Realize that virtually everything that spews out of Beck’s mouth is a contradiction, but this one is particularly egregious, because the contradiction happened in the breath. And the best part about it is he thought he made a great point.

And so much for Mr. Paul, Ron Paul’s son, being a wiz, because he agreed with Beck’s statement.

Not that I need to explain the contradiction, but I will for the sake of the post.

Beck believes that government needs to get out of the way and let the system (he must mean capitalist system) fix itself. The reason why this is a contradiction, is because his proposal for fixing the system involves government intervention in the form of tax incentives.

Nothing chaps my ass more than people who think that capitalism fixes everything. If Beck really believed in capitalism, he would have the government completely removed, and let the will of the all mighty dollar dictate who lives and who dies.

Why do people have to be given incentives just to do the right thing? Well that’s America for you.
