Shultz And Moulitsas Respond To The Remarks Made By Chris Matthews About The “Net Roots”
Chris Matthews often goes through these phases where he unnecessarily pounds on the left. The reason why he does this is obvious.
If you have watched Chris Matthews with any regularity, you would know that he goes out of his way to disassociate himself with the Democratic party, even though, he is clearly a Democrat. Now that the Democrats are in power, he has to find reasons to criticize them so he can maintain his facade of independence.
There is one other issue to discuss regarding Chris’s hatred for the “Net Roots” progressives. Keep in mind that Hardball is not a juggernaut when it comes to ratings and, more importantly, influence amongst the Democratic base. This leads me to believe that jealousy is at the core of his statements about the far left, “Net Roots” crowd.
